The project of deployment planning and economic viability of telecommunication networks, applied to the PLC technology, has just been approved by FAPESP (Foundation of Support to Research of São Paulo State), inside of PIPE (Program to incentivize small companies).
The tool, developed by the KNBS (Knowledge Networks & Business Solutions) company, participant of the Campinas Softex Nucleus, is driven to the planning of data transmission systems in broad band, via the infrastructure of electric grid. It’s the PLC (Power Line Communication) technology, which can become the technology to overcome the challenges of access to Internet in broad band in Brazil and to facilitate the digital inclusion, mainly because of the capillarity of the electric grid already installed.
